Chase joins GMAC in suspending foreclosures due to paperwork irregularities – WSJ

J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., acknowledging possible problems with documents it filed on mortgage foreclosures, said it was suspending the foreclosures until a review of its filing process is completed.

The company said the suspension affected 56,000 home loans that were currently in some stage of the foreclosure process and were made in the 23 U.S. states in which foreclosure was handled by the courts.”

This announcement comes on the heels of GMAC recently suspending their mortgage foreclosures because of potential faulty affidavits used to support the foreclosure. 

If  you are currently in a foreclosure with one of these two lenders, you should employ an attorney immediately to assist you with the process to see if there will be a delay in the foreclosure and what your legal right ares.
