In our practice, we don’t see many folks that have military or civilian jobs that require security clearances, but we do have folks that are concerned that they could be fired from their private sector job for filing bankruptcy.  As this blog post points out, federal law does not allow private or government employers to fire you for filing bankruptcy.  Also, as the attorney quoted in the article points out, most employers will realize that once you have dealt with your financial trouble and gotten it behind you by filing bankruptcy, in their eyes, you are less of risk to embezzle funds.
